It should be made clear, that for solo players many of this list's other entries will be a better option; however, this weapon's usefulness in groups cannot be overstated. The way this weapon type functions is similar to Osteo Striga in terms of bullet velocity and behavior. However, instead of always gravitating toward enemies, these bullets will gravitate toward teammates and attempt to heal them when fired from the hip. Each bullet will restore health, but using enough will trigger Restoration on allies, healing them over time, as well as giving you bonus damage. And this is just the frame, perks like Physic and Circle of Life increase these benefits by making you deal even more damage, or gain Restoration yourself when healing others. The prime example that comes to mind is The Black Armory from the "Season of the Forge." This was something built up as offering players a special kind of new weapon to chase via a new kind of public event. Both of these claims were true, but unfortunately the forge events wound up being overly grindy (and poorly balanced at first), and the weapons largely weren’t worth the effort. Successive seasons have had similar struggles, but not to the same degree and were largely successful.

The following months also weren’t kind to Destiny 2 and its fans. First, fans starved for meaningful content wound up being sorely disappointed with Curse of Osiris thanks to lackluster rewards and the reality of what the "Infinite Forest" actually was: a technologically-impressive loading zone. It sounded cool on paper and was a technological achievement on the part of Bungie, but it unfortunately didn’t amount to much in terms of gameplay.

That mentality extends to the way Bungie is handling post-launch content. Season of the Undying sees waves of Vex arriving via a storm to take over the Moon. Watching them arrive is breathtaking, and the firefights that ensue are hectic and enjoyable. Then there's the new Vex Offensive activity, which allows players to travel back to the Black Garden to take on the Vex. It's a surprisingly robust seasonal activity and it'll be interesting to see what lasting impact the Vex have on the Moon once the Season is over.

After nearly nine months of haranguing from disappointed fans and harsh criticism from the gaming media in general, Bungie has finally presented us with something that is wholly exciting. Destiny 2’s "Forsaken" expansion looks great, better than great even. One could even say that it looks like it contains everything Destiny fans were expecting destiny 2 Story Guide 2 to offer from the very beginning. Perhaps even more. Truly, it looks as if Bungie has finally heard the community’s feedback and acted upon it. That, however, only seems to be the case in regard to the content of Forsaken. Unfortunately, everything surrounding it is still classic Destiny-era Bungie. Destiny may be changing soon, but Bungie most certainly isn’t.


Some strikes just do not live up to expectations. It isn't that players want each strike to live up to the hype or be bone-crushingly difficult, it is just they would prefer a snippet of edge-of-your-seat action during one of these events. Sadly, once players get past a few somewhat rough encounters with the enemy in The Insight Terminus, they will soon encounter one of the weakest bosses in the game. On September 4, 2018, Bungie released Forsaken, the first major expansion for Destiny 2. From this moment onward, the game changed for the better. Just as The Taken King saved the original Destiny, it’s likely that Forsaken saved Destiny 2. With its launch, many of the inherent problems were done away with. New sub-classes were introduced with new Supers, ability recharge times were tuned to align more closely with how they were in Destiny 1 and Randomly rolled loot was back with even more ways to earn it. On top of all this, Two new locations were added, there were more secrets similar to the excellent "The Whisper " secret exotic quest from Warmind tucked away for players to find, and it was all capped-off with "Last Wish," one of the best raids in the series to date. With Forsaken, Destiny was finally back, and many fans were feeling happy.

Unlike Forsaken, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is a direct sequel to Destiny 2 . Eris Morn has uncovered something deadly on the Moon and accidentally unleashes the Nightmares, ghostly versions of past enemies. With a new threat emerging, the Vanguard quickly dispatches its army of Guardians to put down the Nightmares and discover their dark source.
