If players can now carry their rewards wherever they go, it seems unlikely that they have anything to be upset about, right? Unfortunately, there are still some major hoops that Destiny 2 Armor Guide 2 players will have to climb through to get everything from this event. Once players complete the grueling grind to a glowing Magnificent set of armor, they do not automatically unlock the ornaments to match. In fact, players only unlock the right to buy the ornaments from the Destiny 2 Eververse store. What’s worse, the cost of the ornaments put them above and beyond nearly everything else available in the st
The recurring theme with some of these good maps is that they have roughly three different pressure points that favor different playstyles. With burnout, the closed-off indoor area is fantastic in both 6V6 and 3V3. Holding the two points inside with close-range chaos can be a good strategy for players who might dislike long-range gameplay in the outside part of the a
New expansion means new story, new story means new area and new area means new NPCs to give out fun stuff. Upon the initial Prison Break and Cayde’s death, Guardians will immediately make their way to The Tangled Shore in tracking down the escapees. The leader of this tangled web is a wonderful Fallen NPC named Spider. Spider helps in getting the ball rolling in tracking down the big-bads and seeking vengeance upon Uldren. He also is extremely helpful in getting one’s Light Level up the easy way. Sure, he sells the resources needed to now infuse gear into other gear, but honestly that will cost some serious glimmer. If not wanting to farm glimmer while wasting time, instead start chipping away at those bounties he has available. This is an easy first step in getting solid legendary gear that won’t break the bank or ones will. This will see Guardians returning to areas familiar such as the EDZ while heading into Lost Sectors to hunt those who’ve broken out of Prison. These are not the main Wardens in the main quest but regular high-level enemies that upon killing will complete a bounty for good gear. The Bounties stick around for a week making it a solid initial jumping off point.
A comprehensive ranking of Crucible maps is highly subjective and depends on what a player's playstyle is. Moreover, maps will perform differently depending on whether the game mode is 6v6 Control, 3v3 like Trials, or even something like Mayhem. For the sake of simplicity, only 6v6 Control and 3v3 Trials are considered for this ranking. Players who don't find their favorite map here need not worry—this isn't a definitive best of the best, but simply one perspective among many on the most enjoyable m
Cirrus Plaza has one central location that's more open, but the rest of the map is all about very tight corners that favor fast-paced run and gun-style gameplay. Definitely get a shotgun or an SMG out for this map, and keep an eye on the corners. Given that shotguns and hand cannons have often been among players' favorites, it could be that this map becomes one of the more loved ones in the g
What's nice is that in the middle there's a little cavernous spot that works best for players who prefer a more up-close-and-personal playstyle. It's also nice cover from any of the taller high grounds where snipers and other long-range weapons can demolish players from afar. Overall, it's definitely a map that mid to long-range players will enjoy m
It’s new expansion time with Bungie rolling out Destiny 2: Forsaken this week and with it comes all sorts of changes that might as well be an entirely new game...OK maybe not entirely. Forsaken does change quite a bit, though, and if freshly coming back or starting up these little list of helpful tips should set any Guardian on the right path to taking it easy while enjoying the most of Forsaken; this is not an end all be all just some things noticed in the initial first few hours that will make getting through The Reef and the rest of the galaxy easier when taking down the big bad Uldren.
Though short at 5-6 hours, the campaign provides enough thrills and excitement thanks to the great barons. Each of the eight barons offers a unique boss fight that keeps players on their toes. The Rider forces you to fight from aboard a Pike, the Trickster rigs ammo to explode and the Rifleman summons decoys to trip you up. Not all were created equal, like the Machinist whose single identifiable trait is firing a few missiles. Then, there are some like the Fanatic who make up for lack of personality by throwing hordes of enemies at you. Still, the boss design is a huge step up from previous Destiny experiences.
Technically, Bungie didn’t lie about this. Players all got their packages and their armor was available in all of its resplendent glory, but what they didn’t know was how awful the stats on every piece of armor would be. On average, Solstice armor stats sat anywhere from 20-30% weaker than high-tier armor, thus rendering it completely useless for endgame content. Like clockwork, the community was appalled at this decision. Many had spent a great deal of time, effort, and even money to acquire the exact looks they wanted from Solstice. To have that made so useless so quickly was a huge blow to mor
