Great Old One Warlocks (sometimes called "Goolocks" by D&D players) make their pact with eldritch beings in the Far Realms whose goals are inscrutable and alien. At level one, a Goolock gains the power "Mortal Reminder," which causes them to frighten the target and all nearby enemies for a turn when they land a critical hit. This can be great for weakening enemy groups, though since it triggers only on critical hits, it can't be relied upon.
Skyrim is a game that took the world by storm when it was announced, and the game itself captured the hearts of players for hundreds of hours, if not more. Becoming the Dragonborn and laying waste to their enemies made for an amazing power fantasy, with players starting out very weak before slowly enhancing their power and becoming so powerful that even towering giants couldn't take them
At its core, the Longbow +2 enjoys an immediate +2 to all Attack Rolls and Damage Rolls - much-needed bonuses for enemies this close to the finish line who often pack high AC. For players who need to buy their allies some time to prepare countermeasures, Hamstring Shot and its potential effect of halving a target’s Movement Speed can hinder dangerous combatants from getting close to players. Alternatively, the Longbow +2’s user can use Brace to sacrifice a bit of Movement to guarantee their usage of high damage dice throughout their ranged atta
The Circle of Spores Druid has a tremendous amount of synergy with the Necromancy School available to Wizards, and taking six levels of Wizard will allow them to create a much greater range of undead minions to aid them in battle. This has the added benefit of granting them access to the entire Wizard spell list thanks to both classes being full casters, though a character will need to invest in intelligence to make full use of the Wizard spells. The Circle of Spores also synergizes well with the Monk, allowing players to brawl in melee and improve their AC using their Wisdom, which will already be pretty high since it's the Druid's spellcasting stat. Fighter and Ranger are both excellent multiclass choices too, offering Extra Attack at level 5 to dish out more Necrotic Damage while using Symbiotic Entity. Ranger synergizes slightly better due to also providing additional spell slots. (Rangers are half-casters so half of the Ranger Level, rounded down, is added to the effective caster level when multiclassing.)
At level ten, Goolocks will get "Thought Shield: Psychic Resistance" and "Thought Shield: Psychic Reflection," granting them resistance to psychic damage and automatically dealing psychic damage equal to any psychic damage they do take to their attacker.
Updated on the 25th of April, 2024, by Thomas Hawkins: With the release of Baldur's Gate 3 Endings Gate 3's long-awaited Patch 8, every class has gained a new subclass. In the case of the Barbarian class, they may now choose the Path of Giants subclass, allowing them to channel the elemental strength of giants to grow in size and throw their enemies around in various ways. They may also empower their weapons with elemental damage and the thrown property, allowing them to easily hurl greatswords and other two-handed weapons. This guide has been updated to discuss the new subclass, multiclassing options that pair well with it, and equipment that works particularly well with this subclass.
Players looking for more consistent damage, as opposed to the extreme highs and lows of Glaives and Greataxes, should pick up a greatsword. Excellent options in Act 1 are the Everburn Blade, Svartlebee's Woundseeker, and Jorgoral's Greatsword. The Soulbreaker Greatsword and Sussur Greatsword are also decent picks, with the former being especially valuable if playing a Githyanki. During Act 3, non-gith characters should grab the Sword of Chaos or Balduran's Giantslayer for best results, while Githyanki should instead obtain the Silver Sword of the Astral Plane.
At level 8, the Wildheart gains "Land's Stride: Difficult Terrain." This prevents difficult terrain from reducing their movement speed. They gain a second Animal Aspect at level 10, choosing from the same list.

Since the Spore Druid can perform quite a bit of necromancy already, it's well worth tracking down the book "Necromancy of Thay" during Act 1 to unlock its secrets. Finishing the book will take until Act 3, but results in a ton of extra undead minions in combat.
For example, players could focus on lightning damage, picking up the Spellsparkler staff from Waukeen's Rest (by rescuing Counsellor Florrick), the Jolty Vest from Brem in the Zhentarim Hideout, and the Watersparkers from the chest behind Minthara at the Goblin Camp. Add the Blast Pendant, worn by one of the Petrified Drow near the Selunite Outpost, and the Sparkswall Ring from the Mage Tower Basement in the Underdark. Buy the Lifebringer from Blurg in the Underdark Colony to complete the ensemble. After reaching Grymforge in Act 1, players should replace the Jolty Vest with the Protecty Sparkswall for better spell save DCs and pick up The Real Sparky Sparkswall shield, also found in Grymforge.
